Major Mania

Trabant Multi Purpose Rooms

Major Mania is an annual interactive fair designed to give students the opportunity to talk with faculty, staff, and student representatives about majors, minors and other academically related opportunities. All seven Colleges participate and are available to answer student and parent questions. In addition to the academic departments, the Center for Health Profession Studies, the Honors Program, Study Abroad, Special Sessions, and several other special academic programs may also join in Major Mania. A free raffle with baskets and prizes from the Colleges adds to the fun.

You’re invited to take part in the Joseph R. Biden, Jr. School of Public Policy and Administration Open House hosted at the Biden Institute. This is a great opportunity for you and your family to tour the Institute, learn about its programming, and meet the leadership and faculty of the Biden School. Established in 2017, the Biden Institute is focused on the issues that have animated Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr.'s public career and is rooted in two guiding principles he has long embraced: Economic opportunity and social justice. PFW Comedy Show: Whose Live Anyway?

Whose Live Anyway? will be featured at the University of Delaware’s annual Parents and Family Weekend! This show includes hilarious improvised comedy and song, all based on audience suggestions! Cast members Drew Carey, Ryan Stiles, Joel Murray, Dave Foley, Jeff B Davis, and Greg Proops will leave you gasping with the very witty scenes they invent before your eyes. Audience participation is key to the show, so bring your suggestions and you might be asked to join the cast onstage!

UD students must have purchased a ticket for entrance to this event.

Blue Hen Haunts: A Ghost Tour of UD

Lobby of Old College. In case of rain, the location will be Mitchell Hall
What is a University over 275 years old and rich in history without a few old ghosts? Or a curse from Edgar Allen Poe? On a walking tour* that includes Old College, Mitchell and Warner Halls, and one creepy cemetery, you will enjoy learning about the legends and lore that have lived on at UD for centuries! This event is both fun and informative for the whole family! The tour is guided by UD alumnus and award-winning actor/playwright, Scott Mason. This is a perfect stroll for a crisp October's eve and even if it is a bit warm for the season, you may still get chills! *Please note: The tour does involve walking brick and cement paths as well as steps. Please wear appropriate footwear. If you need accommodations please contact dssoffice@udel.edu. In the event of inclimate weather the event will be held in Mitchell Hall.
